Outspoken
Creative Development

Jay Brunson, Exectuive Producer

In 2022, I launched Outspoken, iHeartMedia's LGBT+ podcast network, alongside writer and activist Raquel Willis. As co-founder and Executive Producer, I led creative development for the network, including...

• Designing show identity (show art)

• Concept development

• Host/talent training

• Marketing including social media

• Experiential events.

Leading the growth of the network included greenlighting original shows and orchestrating the transition of existing podcasts onto the network.

Highlights include Afterlives, an original true-crime podcast exploring the life and death of Layleen Polanco, Queer Chronicles, a first-of-its-kind diary-style podcast featuring LGBT+ youth from legislative battleground states, the forthcoming Dylan Mulvany podcast, The Dylan Hour, and the original Sniffies' Cruising Confessions, produced in partnership with Gilead.
