In collaboration with iHeartMedia and Pushkin Industries, Incubation explores humanity’s relationship with viruses, tracing how pathogens like SARS-CoV-2, influenza, HPV, and smallpox have shaped our lives and how science has risen to meet these challenges. The podcast, hosted by Jacob Goldstein, examines how viruses disrupt and redefine everything from daily routines to global systems.

I reimagined the show’s signature black line artwork as a timeline for the animated promotional trailer, guiding viewers through key moments in viral history. As the line travels through time, vibrant visual effects replicate the mutation and duplication of viruses, creating a dynamic, ever-evolving journey. The animation culminates with the timeline, forming the podcast’s striking cover art and connecting the narrative to the series’ visual identity.

To bring this all to life, I designed storyboards that solidified the tone and feel, developed the script copy, and sourced footage to craft a piece that captures the show's essence while drawing audiences into its world. The result is an engaging trailer that sets the tone for a series as impactful as its subject matter.
