Ruby

Jay Brunson is a New York–based Creative Director, Producer, and photographer whose multidisciplinary practice spans commercial campaigns, branded audio, and visual storytelling. With more than a decade of experience conceiving content for Fashion, CPG, Beauty, and Pharma, Brunson has built a career at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and production.

As a founding creative leader at iHeartMedia's Ruby Studio, Brunson developed award-winning branded podcasts and audio series for Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, Trojan, Chase for Business, Max, Under Armour, and Victoria's Secret. He also co-founded Outspoken, iHeartMedia's LGBTQ+ podcast network, which launched in 2023 with original shows from Raven-Symoné, Rosie O'Donnell, Lance Bass, and activist Raquel Willis (After Lives). Brunson played a pivotal role in brokering and producing large-scale brand partnerships for the network, including the multi-year collaboration between Sniffies and Gilead (Sniffies Cruising Confessions podcast).

Previously at Refinery29, Brunson oversaw digital and social productions for beauty, fashion, and lifestyle brands. He produced co-branded campaigns with Reebok x Les Mills, Puma Fenty, and Target, while also driving growth across the company's podcast slate. His ability to guide cross-functional teams from concept through delivery has established him as a trusted creative partner for global brands seeking bold, resonant storytelling.

Brunson's photography has been featured in Photoville Festival 2025 as part of CAFECITO: A Proclamation of Presence, and in artist Pedro Moreira's "From Leviathan with Love" at Galeria Dentro in Porto, Portugal. His visual practice explores themes of impermanence, reconnection, and belonging—an artistic lens that informs his multidisciplinary approach to storytelling.
