In 2020, Under Armour set out to evolve from a sports retail brand to a true human performance company. To amplify this shift, they partnered with iHeartMedia — where I served as Creative Producer and helped lead marketing for the campaign — to create an original podcast that embodied resilience and grit. The goal was simple but ambitious: reintroduce Under Armour through thoughtful storytelling that inspired people to push through their own challenges, while increasing brand favorability and time spent with the new positioning.

I helped guide the creative development and marketing for The Only Way Is Through, a first-of-its-kind podcast that immersed listeners in the sounds, stories, and struggles of world-class athletes. Olympic legend Michael Phelps, track star Natasha Hastings, and ultrarunner Kyle Dietz were joined by their coaches, families, and mentors, bringing the journey of perseverance to life in a deeply personal way. With intimate narratives and immersive sound design, the series broke the mold of traditional interview podcasts. Since launch, it has earned 700,000+ downloads, a 13% lift in brand favorability, and remarkable engagement — with 59% of listeners completing 75% or more of each episode — cementing Under Armour’s transformation into a brand synonymous with human performance.
